An action recorded in 6 digital photographs, 2021
In the summer of 2021, a woodland ant is allowed to walk up the length of a freckled arm. As the ant travels an assistant follows the creature with a felt-tip pen – tracing the meandering path onto the host’s skin with ink. The next day the arm is taken to a tattoo parlour and the ink path becomes a permanent tattoo – a record of small encounter and small journey.
