A two-channel video-work made during a 14 day journey by container-ship across the North Atlantic. Traveling from the ‘old’ world to the ‘new’, the absurd quest traces paths of trade and exodus from Liverpool, England to Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Canada.
The project was recently presented as a two-screen video installation in the exhibition : RECIF 2, une traversée, at the Musee de Beaux Arts (Calais) in 2015.
The full Liverpool-to-Liverpool project is a body of work generated by an epic journey by rail, road and ocean shipping-lanes – undertaken to create a a new public-artwork for the city of Liverpool, England.
